Getting ready to think about battery replacement, Yuasa seems weak after only 3 years and has been kept on maintainer indoors all winter. Both the Noco lithium NLP 9 and NLP 14 are almost the same size as the oem battery. The 9 has 400 amps, the 14 has 500. The Yuasa only 190. The price difference between to two Nocos is $65 - $165 vs $220 CDN. Any comments or advice?

Previous posts have stated that a weak cell wont keep the motor running on a startup. This is why i was asking. Also just "throw" a battery in? Im embarassed to tell you my bike has only 3200 kms but it was built 4 years ago- so maybe the battery is on its way out. It turns over okay but never started immediately even after letting fuel pump prime as others have advised fwiw.

Ive read some older posts that say a weak cell in the battery can cause this no idle start problem. It happened on a warm engine yesterday. The bike was bought new in 2020 so suprised if battery is toast already. Always kept on maintainer during winter and shows fully charged green light after 2 min on charger.

My bike only has 3000kms on it. I did not do the TBS. Running Shell super.

My 2019 Tracer is only ridden weekly and has extremely low kilometers. Runs great but some starts after sitting for a week or more require me too keep the throttle cracked open to keep her running ? Wondering if anyone else has seen this...

The SHAD E04 P is a fabulous tank bag. Three pins replace three of the screws of your fuel filler ring. The bag floats on those pins- Ingenious and works like a charm. No ugly ring and simple to detach for fueling. Love it. The top has a clear window to see your phone and the interior holds wallet, etc.

Please let us know if the original plugs are still in the engine. Probably the culprit!

The only way shes going out is if i fit a front ski and a rear rubber track lol. It sure is hard to wait 4 months!

MI 2019 Tracer 900 is stored in a garage that never gets below 5C. I changed the oil in the fall and added fuel stabilizer. The battery is kept on a maintenance charger . Should the engine be periodically started and run to operating temp or just let the bike sleep all winter? Storage where i am is usually December to at least March.

My stock MY 19 Tracer has a strong smell after a run as well. It is more like a hot oil smell rather than fuel and I see no leaks and the bike runs fine. Its parked in a garage and I think that the cooling engine just creates the smell.

Just south by the lake...vacation home is there.

OMG- just watched a diy on you tube for air filter service and am shocked how such brilliant engineers could create such a royal pain air filter maintenance requirement. Removing 30 screws, fairings, blinker wiring, gas tank, ecu-is this a dream?

My kids bought me the original Grip Puppies for $20 for fathers day on amazon. Your really get what u pay for. Although there were a bear to put on - hot water and a bit of soap- after 3000kms theyre perfect and high quality. Ive seen knockoffs disintegrate in short time. I found the stock grips on the Tracer 900 far too small in diameter and these have been a huge improvement if you have long fingers.

Im only at 3000 kms on my weekend toy '19 Tracer 900 and dont feel safe on the roads 100kms north of Toronto. Although a record is being set today (23C!) Ive been out at 5-6C on greasy, marbled country roads up here and can feel the stock Bridgestones slip slidin away. Have any forum members tried the Dunlop Mutants or similar cool, damp weather tires and if so what are your opinions? I dont commute on the bike it is strictly a one to two hour therapy session.

No- this is my fourth bike. Just seems more off than Honda products.
