  1. Before I start, I know handlebar muffs aren't for everyone and look rubbish. That said, I've been riding for years and am too old to care on the visuals, I just need warm hands in the winter. Muffs plus heated grips are heaven, so here in the UK just normal gloves required for a frosty commute. Is there a muff that will live around/within the handguard on a 2019 GT?
  2. This Akra system came with mine, but they had to lose the main stand - shame, but still love the upgrade.
  3. I'm starting to think that way now. I had a Trekker 52l top box on my last bike, and like you say didn't think twice about simply chucking in anything needed. Commuting won't start for a while. May take another look at Kriega bags that simply have a four point base you leave on the bike.
  4. Thanks - I'll check the dimensions as I'm after a base unit I can just unzip and chuck the laptop bag in.
  5. Hi all, Looking forward to using my 900 for commuting when the time comes and after suggestions. On my old 700 I had a Givi Trekker 52l top box which I was used to simply throwing a laptop bag into before the commute. I'm not keen on having another top box, and also not keen on back packs. Is there a shallow tail pack out there that can be left permanently on the bike and just be flipped open to take a lap top bag?
  6. Thanks all - picked up this morning and spent the afternoon transferring all my useful kit over. The bike came with a Yamaha tank bag and a range of upgrades (indicators, spots, engine protection). Also an Akra exhaust which sounds sweet, but had the knock on effect of losing the centre stand. I've ordered a wheel roller stand to make chain cleaning easier. Quick question - the tray under the seat has a central plastic divider that doesn't seem to serve any purpose, and restricts the amount of stuff you could fit there. Has anyone cut that away to increase usability?
  7. What did I do? Picked it up from the dealer. Really pleased, a move up from my Tracer 700 which I had for the last four years. Time for a change and the 900GT (2019 model with 9k on the clock) ticked all the boxes. Spend the afternoon sorting out a few details, ready for a proper ride out tomorrow. Good to be here.
  8. Hi all, picking up a 2019 GT up tomorrow morning. Biker on and off for almost 40 years now, been through a variety of bikes in that time. Traded in a Tracer 700 which has been a superb choice for the last four years, but fancied a change to reflect a change in intended use from a pure into London commuter (the 700 racked up 49k) to a post COVID popping in a couple of days a week at the most, so the 900 ticked so many boxes. Really looking forward to the experience and learning from this forum.
