  1. Yep, I also ride with both on. My buddies say those lights are the brightest they have seen.
  2. That does look nice. Need to sit on one.
  3. Sometimes riding across North or South Dakota you a re literally riding the bike at an angle to keep ma straight line.
  4. Hope your not using a pressure washer
  5. Just got back from a ride today with my 2020 Tracer and my friend who has the PA. He managed to get the bags and trunk. Overall the bike seems to work for him. He did need to bring it back for computer problems/reflash. Also it did not have all the modes it was supposed to have. One thing he noticed was that something was misaligned when looking at the fairing / gages. Brought it back to the dealer who said there was nothing they could do to it. Whaaat on a $20,000 bike. I would not go for that. I think he ended up shimming something in the front with washers to straighten things out.
  6. My 2020 Tracer is pretty loud also and I also wear plugs. Well it is load compared to my FJR1300. So can you tell us what your last bike was. If you came from a Goldwing or similar yes the Tracer will be considerably loader.
  7. Great write up. Maybe it was the camera angle but that sandwich looks huge and the bottle looks so small.
  8. If it didn't shake with your last tire it very well could be the new tire/or balance/or not seated on the rim/or air pressure. Check all of them. You didn't say how many miles are on it but if you have several thousand I would also be checking the stem bearings.
  9. I purchased the touring shield from Yamaha for the 2020. Im assuming the 2021 may be different but similar. Big improvement over the stock shield.
  10. For me the quick shift works best in 3-4-5-6 and higher RPM. However at 67 Im in no hurry to get anywhere so I hardly use it. Having ridden for 51 years I tend to just use the clutch. Some people just need to accelerate through life I guess. 😀
  11. Thanks, the stock seat is about a 300 mile seat for me so far so that's not to bad. I do like the look of the Bagster seat. Let is know how it performed for you
  12. Thats just wrong, There have been quite a few bikes with helical cut gears., Example being newer FJR1300. BMW also has a few.
  13. Ya it looks like dirt. But maybe he knew that.
  14. Nice write up. I will have to check out those roads someday.
  15. Well I don't know about now but back in the mid 70's not was fantastic even in and around San Diego.
  16. Yes I would try Ebay first. I bet it would be around 300 or more to take that bend out. Make sure you ask for the run outs if you buy from Ebay or at least a return policy. I found a used front for the GSXR for 70 and it was perfect. I looked for quite sometime. It seamed every wheel listed had a slight wobble or bend and they wanted silly prices.
  17. So you guys with the Bagster and Yamaha comfort seat is there an increase in seat height. Or preferably a decrease. Im on tip toes already
  18. I used these guys for a GSXR1000 rear wheel repair. I had radial and vertical runout and they got it all out. Not cheap but it was a very good job. They also do bends like yours. 19. Kinda like my better half. When I told her a bought another bike she said good for you.
  20. We stayed in Kernville. Neat little town.
  21. Im up in the Northern pan handle of Idaho.
  22. We did Sequoia Park several years ago. Came in from Death Valley and into the southern part of the park working north. Quite the winding roads with a lot of switch backs. Have to watch out for the on coming cars as they normally take up 1/2 of your lane and all of it in the turns. A must see if you in the area.
  23. Well they did call me and I dropped it off. It started to snow the next day so I wasn't worried about it. They did call me back on the 2nd day and said the switch was replaced however on the test ride they picked up two staples. With a slight pause he said they would make I right and ordered a tire. So I commend them on doing that because I have no idea when those staples were picked up. I had only 160 miles on it but who knows. So I will be giving that dealer some business in the future.
  24. I have several of these. They fold up very small into their own little pouch. A little speedy but good. Aerostich Ultralight Bike Covers :: Aerostich Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear <p class="indent">Small enough to take on all your road trips, these pack...
