  1. Seems like an awesome bike and I'll probably get one if they ever get here, but why did they have to make it look like one of my grandsons transformer toys and then paint it like an Amazon delivery truck?. Hopefully it will look a little better irl than it does in the pix. If yamaha can get riders away from Ducati why can't they gey a designer or two?
  2. Stock muffler and air filter. Had Ivan's Performance do a reflash and I couldn't be happier. Fueling is absolutely flawless. 2020 Tracer 900 GT
  3. Hi miweber929, I recently received the Yamaha rear mounting rack that I ordered from cheap cycle parts about a year ago so you might be able to find one of those around. I'm also selling a Bagster seat for a 2020. Pix and description in this section.
  4. Thanx winterdark, that was my next question.
  5. Kilo3, The chain was still pretty fresh when I changed the sprocket. Somebody over on advrider suggested that the brain might be confused when it wasn't reading the usual rpm/gear numbers. Makes sense to me. Bill H. The wrench size for that nut is 30mm
  6. Finally got this problem solved. It was time for a new chain so while I had it apart I put the original front sprocket back on.(had gone up a tooth) I only did it because I tried everything else. I have no explanation for it but the cc now works in every gear and at any speed or rpm.
  7. I just checked and they seem to be available again. Maybe it was just a supply chain issue. You really can't beat these tires for $250 a set
  8. I just finished off a set of Roadsmart 3s. I was super happy with the performance and got record mileage, for me. (over 8 k). I was going to get another set but they seem to be getting hard to find. I'm guessing that they're phasing them out in favor of the Roadsmart 4s. I'm sure it's a much better tire but it's also about a hundred bucks more. Everyone seems to like the T32s so I'm giving them a try. We'll have to see about milage.
  9. I've got a 34" inseam and 67 year old knees. My main objective was to get more room between the seat and the pegs. A couple forum members wrote that this seat sat a little higher than the stocker so I decided to give it a try. While it sits higher, it is also softer so with my 200+ pounds pushing down on it I didn't gain anything in the seat to peg distance.
  10. Time for a summer bump and a price reduction. $250 shipped to the lower 48.
  11. Selling a Bagster seat for the Tracer 900gt. It has the red stitching that matches the 2020 paint job. As near as I can tell that's not available anymore. It also has the Bultex foam upgrade. I took it out for 1 ride and decided it wasn't going to work for me so it's a brand new seat. If you want to save about $70 and a month or so wait I will ship it to you for $250 (lower 48). Located in Wilmington, IL. More pics available.
  12. Thank you for all of the in depth replies. Sounds like I should give them a try. Always looking for a premium tire at a good price. Running roeadsmart 3s right now. Got about 4500 right now and might squeeze another 1k out of them. That's on the rear. The front still looks pretty good. micah2074, Hope you made out better than the bike.
  13. Has anyone worn out a set of the Bridgestone Battletour T32s on their 9gt yet. They get really good reviews and I was thinking of putting a set on my 2020. I'm wondering about mileage. Rocky mountain has a great price right now. Thanks
  14. That sounds awesome. I'd like to meet up for a ride and check it out. Used up my farkle budget on suspension but an exhaust might be a good winter project.
  15. Definitely lefty loosey. Try some kind of impact.
  16. It's a lot better than stock but I'm still wishing that I would have went with a custom right off the bat. I've got it in the hi front and lower back position so it looks kind of funky with the big gap at the tankbut that takes about all the forward slope out. I've always liked Seat Concepts but I wish they would have offered a taller option with this seat. You'll like Ivan. Very easy to work with. Let me know if you want to try out the reflash before you get it. Im really happy with it. I hope you have better luck with Seth Laam than I did. No complaints about the seat but the 5 months before that were a nightmare.
  17. I won't be too unhappy if i get 13k out of the chain on a price point bike. My last 3 stock chains were done by or before 10k. Once i go to a high quality chain i get around 25-30k.
  18. I didn't know there was a Chicago area riders thread. I'm pretty pathetic when it comes to online stuff- especially in the summer. I'll definitely check that out though. I live about and hour straight east of Starved Rock so I'm out there all the time. Pretty nice ride from here. I can also tell you about some nice rides in that area. I hear what you're saying about that traffic filled no mans land between the north and south regions of the Chicago area though. Very sorry to hear that you're out of action for now and looking forward to riding with you next spring.
  19. Thanx for the tip. I took the frame sliders. I was really happy to find them because they're not available on Ebay any more. I got on the watch list but that was months ago and I'd pretty much given up hope.
  20. Yeah it's a real stumper. The switch doesn't have any moving parts - all it does is indicate gear position and it does that just fine. As for the reflash, he needed to hook the box up to a computer to change values inside. He did that and it worked like it was supposed to. You would think that you'd have to go back in the box for anything to change again. On a different note, I finally got that Seat Concepts saddle. We'll have to get together and check out each others seats. Uh hope that didn't sound too weird.
  21. I decided to start a new thread because I'm having some weird cruise control issues that I haven't seen described anywhere else. Everything works exactly as it should- in 6th gear only. This will work at any speed and any rpm. It goes right into cruise mode, stays in as long as I want it to, comes right out when I use any of the canceling modes, and changes speed up and down with the buttons. In any other gear, the green light comes on, it goes into cruise mode just as it should and then anywhere from a couple of seconds to a few minutes the green light goes out and cruise stops. I had Ivan do a reflash and before this started and for a few weeks it worked as Ivan said it would - cruise at any speed and in any gear. I can't see anything changing inside the box so I'm sure that the problem isn't there. I've taken off the Evotech levers and put the stockers back on, adjusted the rear brake light switch, and had the front one replaced by a dealer. I pulled and cleaned the gear indicator switch and that didn't help. I thought about replacing it but it's $175. That would be okay if I was sure it was the problem. Thanx in advance for your thoughts.
  22. At just 200 lbs I'm kind of pushing the limits of the stock suspension by myself. It works but to get the sag measurement right I'm about all the way in on the adjustments. For any serious trips you'd probably at least want to change the springs .
