  1. Installed 90 degree valve stem adapters. Swapped out OEM rear sprocket and chain for 43T rear and red EK chain.
  2. I just came into work today running the new ERMAX high screen. Big improvement over the stock screen and no helmet wind force. Ran on screen adjustment middle (2). You can't use the very top of the screen adjustment as the hand guards will touch the side of the screen in the highest position. Could remove the hand guards to eliminate the problem and probably will once temps are a steady 70 degrees and above. Nice screen for a good price.
  3. Ordered the OEM windscreen as well. Like how it is wider from top to bottom and taller than the stock windscreen. The Calsi looks attractive with the V shape bottom, but experience with many bikes and screens taught me that looks don't make it work better. I'm trusting the Yamaha engineers that the Touring screen will have better air protection. Will be using my FJ as a commuter 70% of the time with mostly freeway riding. Air protection and heated grips are a must in the Winter (sometimes in the late Fall and early Spring).
  4. Does anyone have link to purchase on a USA site for the Yamaha 50L Top Case?
  5. Very nice! I ordered the Yamaha top case mount from YAMAHA of Rancho Cucamonga (https://www.yocracing.com/accessory_store/store/yoc_viewitem.asp?idproduct=740545), but they don't sell the Yamaha GYT Top Case on their site. What other company top case fits onto this mounting plate, GIVI, Shad, Kappa? Is the mounting plate monokey or monolock?
  6. I cranked down the pre-load on the front forks last night to about 95% compressed. The ride in this morning to work was way better! No shaking at all with speeds as high as 80 mph. The lower end suspension on the FJ (and FZ) really needs to be adjusted for the rider or you will get issues like this. I will be swapping out my FZ Ohlin forks (rebuilt by Ohlins dealer) onto the FJ tonight and see how the feel on Thursday. The FZ fronts are 1/2" shorter so the turn-in will be different; hopefully quicker. Will post up my results tomorrow.
  7. After just two rides on my new FJ I understand the remarks about the front shake. I could feel it starting to occur over 75 mph too. Thinking is has more to do with the front suspension have 1 degree more rake over the FZ. I will be do a fork swap between my FZ (1/2" shorter) and FJ to see if the shake is still present afterwards.
