  1. Thanks a ton, I'll gather all my things together and begin sometime soon.
  2. Alright then, so if the new relay replaces the existing one, where is that located? And as for your harness design, what was that for? A wiring diagram of some kind would be helpful so I don't just fudge it. I can search up something on my own if need be.
  3. Awesome, that seems pretty simple then. So for that I'd need to buy just 1 relay, then wire it with plugs, plug the old lines into that, then once I have the new lights wired with Yamaha plugs, plug that into the relay? Seems pretty straightforward. Mine is a 2015 by the way, is the color scheme the same as yours for power, switch, all that? I'm guessing a power wire runs to the back of the bike, so that the lights light up...or is that some kind of separate process?
  4. Ay oop! Does anyone have a guide on how they made their rear turn signals DRL (daytime running) and or into additional brake lights? I have a set of rear LEDs i want to install, and they have a red/amber feature that I'd like to utilize. I'd appreciate a wiring diagram or parts list + instructions. The lights in question are these, and I highly recommend them, they are VERY bright especially at night and have a sleek design that matches the look of my FJ09 perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756Z8PLZ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_FSBQK3G8WK8AJYAFRN9X And here's a video demo of how they work. They come with resistors in the box! https://youtu.be/chkTietQss8
  5. I'm a taller guy, 6'3", and while the bike suits me nicely, the windscreen I feel is just short of keeping the wind off my head. I've noticed how expensive windscreens are, is it really worth it to get a taller one just for the wind? Would a simple windscreen spoiler or extension be a better alternative? I don't see the justification in spending $200 for a taller screen that may look hideous, or not even do what I expected of it.
  6. Hello all! I'm looking to replace the ol Pumpkins on my 2015 FJ 09. I just got it recently and the previous owner was extremely kind as to leave me manuals, service books and proof of all the work that was ever done to it...however its mostly stock, so...pumpkins. I'm of a mind that "moar light is moar safe" so I picked up some LED DRL turn signals from Amazon (not flush mount) that are beautiful and would go with the bike perfectly, however they have no instructions at all... its a 3 wire design, and they included hyperflash resistors. Does anybody have a guide, a video, a detailed walk through on installing new signals front to back? Also, has anybody ever worked with these particular lights? They are here: Sorry! Something went wrong! The wires are not traditional Red Black and White...more like Green Yellow and White... I need to know how to safely remove the old ones from the front and back, how to wire the new ones, where to stash the resistors, etc. I'm probably at a novice to low intermediate mechanical level, is this something I can do? I can do my own oil changes and remove a wheel but probably not work on a carburetor...I'm not paying the local dealer 300 bucks to do this... Pics attached, thank you for any help that can be given! Point me to a forum post, a video, or a book. It all helps!
