  1. Same here, unreal mileage. The death rattle my clutch makes on startup i always think i wont make it out of the driveway let alone to such astronomical mileages.
  2. Think thats an unused mirror mount. Suppose you could get some camera or gps mounts the can screw into it?
  3. Great mods there Mark. Just wondering will you do the xsr slipper clutch mod when doing the basket? I've got the xsr parts here myself, done my back in so haven't been able to ride or work on the bike for last few months. My 15 tracer also has the 'GRONK' and was hoping the xsr clutch would sort it but wondering now do I need to replace the basket also?
  4. Welcome on board. The clutch is a bit agricultural at idle but check the shop hasn't adjusted the chain to book values which is way too tight. Also have a look at the xsr900 slipper clutch mod.
  5. Pity your not in the EU or I'd be interested in the seat.
  6. Cheers Jayzonk, appreciate the reply. I'm just getting the strength back in my right leg now after 6 weeks, lost strength in leg and right foot was numb. Scary stuff for what I thought was a simple sports injury. I'm taking recovery very slowly as the lowered back is still sore and still getting sciatic pain if I overdo activity. Don't have the time or money for a personal trainer and never a gym goer. Due to covid I haven't heard back from the hospital either so I'm mainly relying on time and difene to heal the injury. I might go have a sit on the suzuki and see if the forward lean helps. I had a few honda Cbr1000f's and loved them and they had a non aggressive forward lean so maybe the new suzuki is is spiritual successor.
  7. Sorry for the thread hijack to begin with. Sitting here recovering from a herniated L5/S1 disk and have been wondering whether I'll need to give up bikes or at least change the tracer. Pain is still fresh in my mind and likely colouring my thinking, never felt pain like it. Docs recommended surgery but I'm trying to keep that as a last resort. Would appreciate any advice you could give on continuing to ride once the disk is healed. Can't imagine not having a motorcycle but it's nearly impossible to stand up out of my chair without forward planning at the moment.
  8. Late to this thread but my recent order of the xsr clutch from partshark cost $64 delivery with DHL which I thought was good as usps were quoting a similar price and extended delivery dates. Delivery was to Ireland.
  9. Well feck brexit anyway, I would have been all over this..
  10. I received the kit on Friday, from order to delivery to Ireland was about 9 days but only took 5 days from the shipping notification. Looking forward to this upgrade.
  11. Yeah the fjr1300 was the best bike i've ever owned, that engine is unreal, but decided to go a little lighter as not doing as much touring. Have toured around a good bit of the States on an fjr for a few years and it was the ideal weapon for the job. Some great scenery over this side of the pond alright and you get a great view when the rain stops and the mist clears...:)
  12. Cheers johnmark101, one of the strangest days i've ever had was at the machine gun shoot at Knob Creek Kentucky, lads walking around with fully automatic weapons and boxes of bullets..great day though.
  13. Thought i'd drop in to say hello. Recently replaced my fjr1300 with a 2015 Tracer 900. Enjoying the lightness and that triple engine is a belter, doesnt have the turbine power of the fjr but has far more character. Found this site while researching the slipper clutch upgrade and thanks to some links posted here i managed to snag the complete xsr clutch upgrade from Partshark for 1/3 of the price of the parts here, result. Few mods already done are wilbers suspension front/rear, givi rack, led spot lights and fender extenders front and rear (essential here where it seems to never stop raining). Shiny side up..
