  1. I couldn't justify the $60 for this, knowing I could accomplish the same for less than $10. Thanks for posting here though, makes total sense for those that don't want to drill a hole into the windshield adjuster.
  2. Thanks! Yes, adjuster works exactly as normal. I hear you. If the whole setup wasn't completely hidden by the GPS 99% of the time, I'd probably try to do the same. Although, I'd end up making it look worse if I tried it. 🤣
  3. OK, all. I literally tried just about everything I could think of before landing on this setup. Just wanted to share with you guys in case anyone would like to try to implement something similar. I'm using a Garmin GPS with the snap in cradle mount (see photos below). The particular unit I used is a 6.95" screen unit called the DriveSmart 7. I even loaded a motorcycle icon as my GPS vehicle. 🤣 This is quite simple. I purchased this 2 pack of 17mm ball mounts (what these GPS clips accept), which accept a 1/4" x 20 camera bolt (like this...) 17mm ball mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096MDW6B8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Camera 1/4 x 20 tpi bolt: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KQXJ66A/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_3BC1MD0SPMNRW69GED42 I drilled right into the top of the windshield adjustment handle, and screwed one of the camera bolts into it. I then made a simple spring to press against the bottom of the GPS. This was an afterthought, as the GPS would end up slouching if I hit any major bumps in the road (which we do quite frequently here in PA). I just used some thin steel wire and needle nose pliers to do this. Not necessary, but helpful. I then screwed the 17mm ball mount on top of the camera screw, shimmed with one washer to ensure it was tight when in proper position. Simply clip the ball into the GPS mount and the mount to the GPS. The top corners of the GPS sit right against the windshield, and the GPS is right in the perfect place, right below line or sight. Would love to see what works well for you all.
  4. Gold anodized tail tidy, LED taillight (with signals), and front signal delete/relocation.
  5. I tapped the ABS plastic on the top of the windshield adjuster for a 1/4 - 20 double-sided camera mount bolt: Then fitted one of these these 90* 17mm ball mounts to the top of it. Literally the simplest possible way to get the GPS right where I want it. I have tried a ton of options. I never liked any of the handlebar mounts--I always wanted the GPS further up into my field of view. Here is how it turned out... (will edit and add pictures from phone).
  6. I also believe this is attributed to the handguards. I don't necessarily feel a wobble as much as a single skew of the handlebars because if a blast of wind on a handguard. I could see it manifesting as wobbles if someone was holding the bars for dear life, I haven't felt that sensation, only a single little blip in the bars that is immediately self-corrected.
  7. Weird. I just traded CTX1300 for new 2020 Tracer 900 GT last week. Love the Tracer in comparison, but I find it substantially taller. I am 6' 2”, so it's not an issue for me, but I couldn't imagine how it would be to handle being 5' 7". I agree with your sentiment about access on the CTX. I think the Tracer will have to be substantially easier to deal with in that department. After 250 miles, I ordered the Puig touring screen for $135 shipped from Amazon. Hoping that helps because buffeting and wind noise off of the factory screen is annoying already. Being a bit shorter, this may not be a problem for you. Hope you enjoy!
  8. This ^I am interested in the same, please @Zach26. Thank you--looks great!
  9. Use the search function--this is probably the most discussed topic for parts upgrades for these bikes; biggest gripe people have with the bike. In short, it depends on what exactly you're looking for. Based on my research, I think the best option for most effectively decreasing buffeting is the Madstad screen: Tracer 900 / 900 GT (2019-2020) MadStad Adjustable Windshield System Yamaha Tracer 900
  10. Price is awful (> 2x), but here they are: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194195391196?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28 Based on my search, this may be the single source for these currently.
