Handlebars filled with angry hornets?

I had to contact them for a custom solution. Have not tried filling the bars with anything yet. -
Handlebars filled with angry hornets?
pokey074 replied to pokey074's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
Well, I'm happy to report that the HVMP bar ends make quite a difference. They don't TOTALLY eliminate the buzzing but it's MUCH better now. I may end up trying a Bar Snake or something similar to see if I can make it even better. -
Thatās a hard no for me, unless it can be disabled.

Handlebars filled with angry hornets?
pokey074 replied to pokey074's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
HVMP really came through. Super helpful, didnāt have any bar ends specifically for the Tracer 900 GT but after some back and forth was able to recommend a set that fits. They look great and I canāt wait to try them out. -

First ride without the handguards: The wind might be a little cleaner but no difference whatsoever that I can tell as far as buzziness/tingly hands when I stop. -

Need to get a 14mm hex key/socket and see whatās what after removing the threaded inserts then. -
Handlebars filled with angry hornets?

So it looks like the threaded inserts the handguards attach to are threaded into the bars themselves. Does anyone know if those are removed, will the bars accept standard bar ends? -

So does anyone know what bar ends are a direct fit? -

Brand new bike. Think I maybe just passed 2,000 miles. -
Seriously, I came from an HD Street Glide with the famous Harley shake and it didnāt bother my hands like this bike does. When I get done riding my hands are usually buzzing and tingly, and thatās with Grip Puppies. While I was out riding today, stretching my hands and such, I noticed that the āhandguardsā were vibrating quite a bit more than the bars themselves. Has anyone removed the handguards, and did you find it made a difference? What size bar ends will fit? Any other solutions?

I had one of those before. Thought it was kind of a pain to mount, especially if you like to change windscreens. At any rate, it only works with the stock mount, not the MadStad.
-
Success! My tether leaves a little to be desired but it works.
-
I think itās actually the same thing. Just looked and the handlebar mount I have looks identical to your reservoir mount. Just need to find me some hardware nowā¦
-
Oh yeah, I rigged up a lanyard for it before I even put it on the bike.
-
So you just mount that up using nylock nuts or something? I have a RAM handlebar mount currently that might work perfectly like that!
-
W What mount are you using?

Anyone got a good source for a way to mount a Garmin Zumo XT to a MadStad? Finally got my MadStad. (What an ordeal.) Order showed up and it was for a Triumph Tiger. š They sent me another and some of the hardware was wrong. š” Luckily I was able to find what I needed locally. Took it out for my first ride of the year today to test it out along with a new Corbin seat. š„³ The MadStad definitely makes a difference. Get some āflutteringā but no buffeting thankfully. Think maybe I should have ordered a shorter shield instead of going with MadStadās recommendation. At any rate, is there a decent way to do a GPS mount above the instrument cluster with the MadStad?
-
How about GPS mounting? I bought one of those windscreen adjuster mounts off eBay. Changing out to a Madstad eliminates the OEM adjuster. I have a handlebar RAM mount but I like the GPS above the instrument cluster. When I contacted Madstad, they said the mount no longer comes with a provision for GPS mounting.

Iām just a few cm taller than you so it sounds like the 22ā would be the way to go.
-
Riding season is still a couple of months away here in South Dakota, but I'm planning ahead. After trying nearly every windscreen out there (and ignoring forum consensus) I think I'm ready to try a Madstad. I have no evidence but I think their more solid mounting system might be superior to stock as well. At any rate, what height should I go with? I'm about 5' 11" with a 34" inseam. With most screens, I've found I prefer the lower position. I don't mind my helmet being out in the wind as long as it's clean, and I don't want to be looking through a windscreen. Now I know their guideline says to order 22", but do I?

This kit works with the Bagster seat. The one I have that I'm selling, I test fit it last night just for the heck of it and it fits the same as the stock seat.
