  1. She has a bubble making wand kinda thing in her hand that plays a really annoying tune repeatedly 😶
  2. Sorry , it's a British thing I guess ? !! 😁 🇬🇧
  3. This is what happens when you marry into a family of Star Wars geeks 😶
  4. Neo 2 plain are $599 at Revzila currently 👍
  5. I've just got the BB guards and brackets from Revzilla, found them both in their ' openbox/ returns ' sales section , both at reduced cost ( I believe 40 % less ) As I remember it , they had 1 of each left for the FJ09
  6. Took the bike to Reno NV to get the suspension updated , saw this artwork in Fernley on the way and couldn't resist getting the photo as I work for a fishing wholesale company ( any excuse to take a photo of my bike basically 😁 )
  7. I've done the whole ' search ' part on here for information on how to do this mod , I bought one from JK3D about 2 years ago and I can't remember how to fit the bloody thing !! Anyone remember a link to how to do the mod ? I'll carry on searching in the meantime 🤞
  8. Hhhmmm , interesting 🤔 I'll have another look at it next weekend and update the post if needed. Thanks for the heads up 👍
  9. Small local ride out to Middlegate station on highway 50 , quick drink and a Snickers then headed home. Famous for being part of the old Pony Express route , now its a popular destination for local bikers and anyone headed to Sand mountain with their ADV's or 4 wheelers. Thankfully they sell gas there as I completely mis judged how much fuel I had and I'm not sure I'd of made the 47 miles back to Fallon........😶 ( what is the range on the last bar / flashing low fuel warning ? 🤔 )
  10. Bump Price lowered , it's a shame that it's just sitting in the shed unused so just want it sold. Reminder , this doesn't work if you are using the OEM side cases 👍
  11. Do these fit the 2015 Tracer ? They look exactly the same , I know someone who's looking for a set .
  12. That truly is a good looking bike you have there mate. I'd love to get another belly pan for my '15 like I had on my Tracer back home in England , but I have other things above it on the ' to do list '
  13. Sorry to hijack your post , but I'm very keen on upgrading the suspension on my 2015 FJ09 but I'm honestly struggling to find a specialist anywhere near me ( I'd love to find a ride in/ ride out suspension shop ) so I'm thinking I'm going to have to source the upgrades and then find a shop to fit them. Can I ask what upgrades you did on your '15 FJ09 ? Thanks in advance 👍
  14. Glorious weather today , so having fitted the new battery yesterday I finally got out for a couple of hours , just 80 miles locally. Saw this train in the distance as I left Silver Springs NV so chased it down and found the perfect pull in next to the tracks to grab this photo. Not bad considering i couldnt see the screen on the phone as i snapped away 😎
  15. My problem here where I live is finding a street bike suspension specialist. I can undoubtedly source the parts from advice off posts in this great forum but id much rather deal with a expert who also does the work ( ideally ride in/ ride out in a day ) I'll do some homework , now that I've talked myself out of the new bike.
  16. $12k total cost. Out the door . On the road. $12k for a brand new , zero mileage '22 Tracer 9 GT . And yet , I've woken up today ready to keep my bike and just spend some money on the suspension. Bonkers !! And yet , sensible as there's nothing wrong with my bike ( bar the rubbish handling....) Basically I hate debt. And yet , I reallllllllly want the GT....... 🤔
  17. + update + Fitted a new OEM battery earlier and she fired straight up !! ☺ Bikes now for sale as I got , what I think to be , a cracking deal on a brand new '22 Tracer 9 GT. If that falls through I'll stick with the original plan of upgrading the suspension front and back on the '15 👍
  18. Yes , same battery as the one I had for my Yosemite debacle 😶 I'm off to Reno tomorrow to pick up a new battery , hopefully that's all it is.🤞 Of course , if I bought a new Tracer 900 GT while I'm there it would come with a new battery........ Sooooooo ready for a newer bike , I just don't want the debt that come with it. Thanks for the advice Chaps 👍
  19. So when the bike wouldn't start when I was parked up in Yosemite recently, the ' Hi ' was flashing on the screen , so initialy I just assumed I'd got the bike too hot with all the stop / start photos I was taking , so I'd turned off the ignition to while the bike cooled down ( it wasn't exactly a boiling hot day , mid October up in the mountains ) but once I tried to restart it it was obviously a bad battery preventing me from moving on. So I'm now thinking it might not be the battery as it shouldn't be stating the coolant is too hot as the bike didn't even start !! 🤔
  20. Nice day for a local bimble around the back roads here in Fallon NV so went to get the bike ready , she lives outside but under a good cover and is on a tender when parked up. Got that depressing ' buzzing ' sound as you try to fire her up . The tender is saying the battery is good but I know it's the original battery ( 2015 FJ09 ) so nearly 9 years old. So it's off up to Reno tomorrow morning to get a new battery , thankfully its mild here till sunday so ill be able to get out for a few hours. I had the battery tested recently after my breakdown in Yosemite park back in October and It was strong but it appears to be not so. Quick question , this is the reading on the screen when I'm trying to start it , anyone know , what does the ' Hi ' mean ?
  21. That , i have no answer for. It had been very ' stop / start ' on the way to where I was , I'm a scenery junkie so was stopping a lot for photos. I was charging my phone all the way in from the east gate ( just as well with all the calls I was making / receiving) The temperature gauge on the dash was flashing ' Hi ' and no , it wasn't saying hello , when I attempted to start the bike again so I wondered initially if the bike had just got to hot , but I've never had that problem before ( it was only 86° F at that time of the day ) so decided that somehow I'd cooked the battery. I've had the bike for 2 years , I've no idea how old the battery is , it stays outside my house under cover but permanently on a trickle charger. I got home about 1am, parked up and didn't get back to the bike again till 5pm when it fired up straight away first time 🤔 It's a weird one.ill get the battery checked asap.
  22. The biggest problem was the location I was stuck in. It's a 2 lane , one way loop around El Capitan , and to push it down hill meant doing so into a blind bend which , if it didn't start , say it had been a more serious fault , I would of been stuck in the road , on a blind bend , with no where to then put the bike safely out of harms way. Plus the ' quality' of the driving left much to be desired. If I'd been with a buddy they could of held up the traffic , as I did on one occasion to help a very nervous tourist to reverse out of the layby ( mainly so he didn't swing into the bike ) Trust me , I considered it , but the lack of interest from everyone made me a bit hesitant in asking for that kind of help. My wife said I was ' to English ' with my patience in waiting for AAA 😶
  23. 5 bloody hours I sat in this layby !! I asked a few random people if they happened to have a powerpack , I think my English accent confused a couple of them as they'd give me a strange look. Most people didn't really care that I was stuck there , and most people there were clearly tourists in hire cars which they couldn't drive properly. One guy even scrapped the wing of his EV into a tree while reversing out , nearly hitting a passing car. Was actually quiet an eye opener seeing just how dumb some cagers are to their surroundings.
