  1. Yeah I might end up just getting another top-case. The key thing doesn't matter as I keep both bikes keys on the same ring. I might just end up getting a givi box and universal plate so I can re-key to match some other givi panniers too. Thanks for checking.
  2. I have the 39L yamaha top-case on my tracer 900 and really like it. Fits a full size helmet and some smaller items plus it looks good on the bike. I also want to be able to use it on my other motorcycle which has a grill-style rear rack. I found yamaha part no. 37P-F84X0-00-00 (universal mount plate) which looks like it would work perfectly but I can't find it anywhere online in the USA. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. Thanks for that. I tried as a test to install them without the rubber feet that go into the OEM mount points and everything worked perfectly. Basically the hooks that go into those mount points are too long so my plan is to grind off 1/4" on each and that should put the whole assembly in line with the quick release attachment points. I'll post pics if it works. 😀
  4. Does anyone have these racks installed on their bike? I got everything installed on my 2019 Tracer and when I try to connect the quick release racks the bolts simply do not align with the holes on the forward bracket (the one connected to the passenger pegs). The hole on the bracket is just a little bit too low - maybe a 1/4" or less. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Shakes did you ever fix the issue? I am trying to install the PLR2139 racks to my 2019 Tracer and have the exact same issue. The quick release receiver holes in the front brackets are slightly too low for the bracket to engage.
  6. Funnily enough its easier to find the instructions from Kappa than it is from givi. It looks to me like there will be no interference as the yamaha top-rack has 4 connection points under the seat which aren't used at all by the givi rack. The givi uses the external luggage connection points which is fine + a bit under the seat where the rear-fender connects but that's all in the middle and underneath so it should be fine. I'll post pics once its all finished along with the fender eliminator and X-arc signal lights. If it all fits together it should look really good.
  7. Thanks! Its hard to tell from the install diagrams but I think you're right in that it shouldn't interfere with the stock mountpoints. The nice thing about the Yamaha rack is that its all on top and mounts in a pretty straightforward way. I think what I'll do is wait until I have it installed and then reassess with the Givi mounting instructions.
  8. So I'm looking at getting the Yamaha top-rack with the 39L case. I like the look of the rack better than other aftermarket and also that you can re-key the case to use the ignition key. However in the future I might want to add Givi side case mounts. Does anyone know if this is possible or would I have to use the Givi top-rack? I know that without that rack you need to use an adaptor kit but that part doesn't look like it would interfere. Its more the top side connection points for the side racks which looks to be quite close to the top-rack.
  9. Can you post the model number of the part you used? Also did the turn signals come with a compatible wiring harness plug or did you switch it out off the old stock ones? It would be great if you could post a pic or vid of the finished product too.
