Has crash sliders on both sides of the engine, seat mod to raise the front of the driver seat installed. Includes SW Motech ION ring mount tank bag and Yamaha Factory service manual. Great sport touring machine. Fully sorted adjustable suspension front and rear, adjustable rider seat height, Adjustable windshield, ride modes, traction control, ABS, cruise control, and heated grips. Has factory plug for ignition switched power installed behind the headlamp. Has aftermarket rider foot pegs with rubber pads installed. New rear tire, front 40% remain. There are some cosmetic scratches on both saddlebag lids, left front signal, and left engine cover from previous owner drops. I hit them with a black sharpie so they are difficult to see in pictures. Priced at $7500 as is.
  2. I had an odd odor from my bike after I switched to GL-5 gear oil to lube the chain. I wasn't getting the chain wiped down good enough after application and it would fling off the excess at the countershaft area and run down onto the exhaust. Hope you get yours sorted.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to write your trip up, the pictures brought a lot of memories back too. I have done a lot of the territory you covered but not all of it. I'll take notes for my next time out there. I thought it was pretty lame of the shop to have sold your tires out from under you before you got there...
  4. Which two fuses blew ? I can understand the lighting circuit fuse blowing. Which hot wire did you short to ground ?
  5. It's not worth the effort to worry about. He probably thought you were just some young hot shot that would try to run from him. Go for a ride, stop to have some pie and coffee.
  6. If shipping UPS always be sure to go to the UPS terminal to ship. Never go to "The UPS Store", their shipping will be about 30% more.
  7. Put your GPS wires into the plug and turn the key on.
  8. Undo the clip and don't loose the split rubber spacer grommet.
  9. HD makes a great touring machine, I enjoyed the Road King I had before I bought my Tracer. Best part is dealer network while traveling if you do happen to need something.
  10. I have been on this a lot lately, it averages right at 100mpg and is fun to ride as well.
  11. Yamaha made quite a few significant changes to this year model bike. I suspect they won't do a whole lot for next years bike save for some different color choices. But I have been wrong before !
  12. I agree, start with the battery terminals. Hope you find one loose !
  13. I didn't look at the hang tag so I don't know, bike was black. M.R. Cycles in Asheville.
