  1. OP thanks for this thread. I am starting to design a kit for gravel roads, because Arizona. Glad I'm not the only crazy one.
  2. Hey did you get this figured out? I finally finished my bar swap *today*, by installing the handguards. I had to tap the bar ends for the part you indicate, They came off the stock bars real easy. If you still need help, let me know. Otherwise show me the bar end mirrors. That is such a cool idea.
  3. Yes, I think I do have that on another page also. I am pretty sure Yamaha contracted the whole TFT UI to Cyber Ninjas, it's such a pile of poo. I am curious how the remaining fuel is calculated and I wouldn't be surprised if it uses the fuel quantity sensors in part. I'll stick with my abacus. It's the only way to know for sure, assuming they didn't honk up the odometer too.
  4. As for the stock mirrors, they're not so great for the killer whale riders. We get a great shot of our massive shoulders, which is nice, but not what we need. I installed the Bike Masters base extenders, but I really miss seeing my shoulders.
  5. Regarding the fuel gauge, I tried this remedy: Ignore the fuel gauge Set Trip A up on line 1, display it all the time Reset Trip A at each fill up Cypher MPG Anticipate fuel quantity with a glance to Trip A So-o-o-o much better than the pretty gauge
  6. fwiw - yikes that is bad bad bad. imagine if the tire made contact, with all of that rolling energy.
  7. @Heli ATP, here are some pics of the left side disassembled. And the hex bolt is 6mm, not 8mm.
  8. @Heli ATPI will post something up tomorrow. Thanks.
  9. That looks similar. Here are my left (good) and right(bad) bar ends. I want to bring the right side to day 1. I have the OEM hand guard. The bolt on the left side is 8mm hex.
  10. @texscottyd, that is very clever. I'll add that to my bag of tricks. It does not look the same at all, so I guess I need to get out of my lazy boy and take some pics.
  11. Does anyone know the dimensions for the hex bolt that secures the stock handguards? Any idea where to get one?
  12. Because Major Healey?

  13. That's funny, but actually what I do for friends and family. I've got a whole bag of tricks. There's a 2016 in Tucson - just listed on Cycle Trader
