  1. I've seen reviewers raving about QS3. Curious if it could be ported to the current T9 with a flash and hardware.
  2. Bumping this thread up again - can anyone outside of US take a picture of the stock heated seat connector, please? I'd love to just plug in an original seat, if possible, and not mess with the wiring.
  3. Resurrecting an older thread as I could not find anything newer. Has anyone in US bought a comfort heated seat and was able to get it to work properly with US electronics / wiring? These things cost quite a bit, especially with international shipping, but would be nice to just have a stock toggle for the heating element without any external / additional switches.
  4. Here is what I think is happening (I looked through the owners' and shop manual, and cannot confirm this). After setting the cc, there is some sort of 'timeout' - whether mechanical (first change) or time-based. If you try to '-' after setting the speed, no action is taken. It works on the second click though. If you set your speed to an odd number - ex. 61mph - the first change will be to either 60 or 62, depending which way you go. After that, '+' and '-' go at 2mph (per manual and observed). I love having cc on the bike and I used it quite often, so this is based purely on my observations.
  5. Does this cable plug directly into the ecu or is there an easier accessible port / connector somewhere? (thanks for the link!)
  6. About 2h at a leisurely pace (not spare part left), and another hour for the re-key. Instructions are crap and some of the panel removals aren't intuitive. Silver body pieces slide forward when removed - not simple clip-ons. Paneer hanger bolts were a b*tch and had to be aligned properly when re-installed - I used a #5 allen key to keep it in place.
  7. I'll be installing mine this weekend - definitely dreading taking all the extra pieces off. One thing I learned from installing a few other bits is to have a good organizational system - either a small case or magnetic pan for screws, some sort of bowl for plastics, and a tagging mechanism. Seems silly, but saves a ton of time putting everything back together!
  8. Cleaning the chain every 500-700 miles gives me an opportunity to look over the bike, make sure nothing is loose, there are no cracks, leaks, etc. I guess it's part of the bonding process and general care, which gives me more confidence while I'm pushing it on the dragon knowing full well that the cliff could be the end of me. 🏍️
  9. Drilling sucks, but it doesn't have to be ugly. No one can tell that it's not stock. As far as clips, the side one will need to come out completely, if you don't want to get too creative with "wiggling" the fender out from between the forks. You should be able to squeeze the back of it enough with your fingers to push it through. Also, a set of trigger and spring clamps helped the whole process tremendously. I had to buy a new set, but it was worth it.
  10. Stock tires on the dragon handled very well. Feelers were scraped a few times.
  11. Also, what kind of pricing are we looking at, depending on the options? Have you done any tracers yet - new or old? Any pictures of the completed seats and customer feedback that you can post?
  12. ^ that's twisties / mountains wear right there! Well done, sir. We'll be in the area (Hot Springs) next weekend.
  13. Thanks for quick comms, Clegg! Can't wait to ride my bike upside down when I get the slope mode installed! Enjoy the rest of the vacation!
  14. Got "something went wrong" while trying paypal or venmo options. Will try again later, but definitely excited to try this!
  15. Funny that you mentioned it, I was getting gas a couple of days ago, went to start the bike and it stalled. I thought it was really weird as it's pretty much brand new and doesn't have any power / fuel / flash modifications. On the second try it started without issues though.
  16. Before buying a new screen, I figured I'd mess around with the stock one first. While sitting on a long stretch with cruise control, I decided to move the screen up / down and see how it channels air around 60mph. To my surprise, higher position was not better. Stock screen has a lip on top that pushes the air up, but then it gets added to the force from the front and drops behind the screen into the 'void' or low pressure area. I'm 5'9 and this position made the air around my helmet really noisy and it was beating me up a bit. Then I moved the screen almost all the way down and things quieted down / cooled off substantially. I think 'dropped' air went below my helmet (if I angled my chin down a bit, it was even quieter), and the rest went over my head. I'm sure I looked really funky moving my hands around and 'feeling' air streams. Moral of the story - definitely make sure to play around with your stock screen. I find it bearable for now, but might consider an mra screen sometime in the future as I like a more slanted angle, which likely controls the air flow a lot better vs stock.
  17. I'd go a step further and figure out a size chart so when you get your bike, you get the "right" height screen. It won't always work, but it'll be so much closer to what a customer would want, especially with the added adjustability. Someday maybe we'll even see the 3d printed screens on the spot! The future is bright!
  18. I get really worked up about this as the grass is Really slippery, especially with the dew on it in the morning. I must agree with a few others though - people are waaay too trigger happy these days. If you aren't on talking terms, just slow down through the area and look for another favorite corner. Unnecessary confrontation won't leave either one of you happy.
  19. I'm +1 on the hidden exhaust - it is such a nice feature! Coming from a 2013 R1 where I was sitting on two pipes - loud an proud! Although I do miss that crossplane noise. 😕 I had a vcycle flash before and will probably get one for 22GT as well - primary reasons are 2 fold - wrist-snap mode (I think it's called 'quick turn' now) for "fun" in mode 1 (since I ride in mode 2), and lower the ridiculous decel off throttle. This thing feels like it's recharging the batteries when you let off the throttle.
