ODOT and most police departments came out against the bill, Governor Brown was only following the advice she got from the "experts." I don't blame her, we need to do a better job of educating and advocating.

Ok but she has no balls LOL

There is no valid reasons not to allow lane splitting.

So what, they gonna educate  the drivers then allow lane splitting?

It done here in California quite safely and now days, there are lots of drivers that give way to splitters...... which wasnt true way back when I started riding.

Lane splitting can be done safely like anything else.

Another case of one person having too much power over a persons life.

I remember my 1st time in 73 San Francisco freeway to the airport can't remember the number 101

Had to worry about the drawing sticking out on the back of my bike

72 Honda SL350 with a luggage rack and a cop windshield

I had a removable Sissy bar and highway pegs too

I'm glad they can do it safely in big CA

They certainly have the weather for it

I hate sweating my balls off Waiting for the hairs on the back of my neck to signal I'm about to be punched

With cell phones GPS videos  Texting of course it's a different world

They think they see an open spot and dive for it

 I just stopped commuting

I'm too old to deal with that shit anymore

Pathetic! There is no doubt that lane splitting SAVES lives. Hopefully the OR legislature can muster an override - they only need 2/3 and the bill passed both houses with that majority...

NO Lane splitting or filtering is allowed in Oregon. It is still not law yet. Vetoed by the previous governor Kate Brown.

If you visit here and get caught filtering, splitting, or shoulder riding. You will get a ticket.
