Garz747
First issue is noisy clutch when setting out with cold engine. I have read about this on previous posts... is there something dealer can do or live with it? Second issue is do I go for the throttle body synch at 1000kms ? or just change oil myself with Yamaha filter and 10 w 40 quality oil for now and leave synch for later on. The clutch is the the clutch, "noisy" when in neutral as well. I sync'd my throttle bodies at 5k miles and again at 10k miles only because I was there for other mods, neither was needed. Premium Member micah2074 Posted June 1, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted June 1, 2021 What he said x2. I have 100k+ miles and the clutch has always been noisy. Just “synced” my throttle bodies, changed plugs, air filter and greased all the bearings. The tb’s didn’t really need it but it never hurts to check. Especially if you already have the tank, etc. off. 2 Let’s go Brandon
Premium Member DavidS Posted June 6, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted June 6, 2021 My clutch was noisy, but got quieter with miles. I don't hear the noise anymore. As for the throttle body's, I waited until I had other reasons to take the bike apart, it's a bit of a chore to get inside, and I'm lazy. It's not hard work, and there are many video's on youtube showing how it is done. Just take your time and you will be fine. You will need the throttle body tool to measure the cylinders, but they aren't too expensive. (especially compared to paying the dealer to do the work) Good luck!
