Asking for a friend. Tell your friend that it's not the chafing he should be worried about - what's more worrying is the potential loss of sight!
Supporting Member dazzler24 Posted June 5, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted June 5, 2021 OK, I've had my fun. Now to be just a little more serious.....I actually have a pair of the following for the very same reason that 'your friend' has asked you to enquire about. That and a bit more bum comfort on longer trips. They can feel like you've got full nappy/daiper on when walking around, but I've found them to be quite effective for both improving comfort and reducing chafing. Y(Friends)MMV Moto-Skiveez | Redefining Riding Comfort With Technical Base Layers ... Another thing that has helped me was to get the seat 'flatter' i.e. reduce that tip forward issue that has plagued many in here. Anyway, hope that is of some help for your friend. 😉

Garybinnyc
Monkey Butt powder! I stand behind the product, I used to race ATVs in the desert and talk about friction… without it I was sore! It works.
Supporting Member Heli ATP Posted June 5, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted June 5, 2021 I had that problem with the wrong pants and the stock seat. Now that I ride on a Corbin, no more worries.

Premium Member 1moreroad Posted June 5, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted June 5, 2021 Chamois butter or some other water based lubricant (think KY but thicker) Chamois Butt'r™ Non-greasy Skin Lubricant for Cyclists - Chamois, GoStik, Embrocation Chamois Butt'r non-greasy skin... Bicycle shorts. Just bought these. MUCH cheaper and did well on shorter bicycle rides so far. The Black Bibs No Labels. No B.S. Undeniably... Do NOT wear underwear under bike shorts. Or try to ride a bicycle with an original, old school Flite saddle and any seat will feel plush.
