Premium Member 1moreroad Posted August 30, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted August 30, 2021 This Triumph Tiger Sport 850 looks familiar. Almost like I've seen it before. Maybe sitting in my garage? I'm not knocking it as a bike and, based on my friend's Street Triple, this could one day replace my FJ. But could they have copied the styling any more? The saddlebags look the same as the FJs! Supporting Member roadrash83 Posted August 30, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted August 30, 2021 Triumph builds some nice bikes for sure. But one thing that has stopped me from seriously considering them is dealer support. I don't want to have to drive an hour plus to get to a dealer for warranty work or parts. He who dies with the most toys wins.
Ride365
The Yamaha triple is better than the Triumph triple......but agree Triumph overall makes nice machines with great fit and finish.
Clem Fandango
I believe that's the forthcoming 660, not the 850.
stevesweetz
Tiger Sport 850 is already out, it's a stripped down cheaper version of the Tiger 900. All bikes of similar purpose will look similar. Average non-rider couldn't distinguish a S1000RR from a GSXR600, they're both just "crotch rockets". One could argue the Tracer 900 borrowed heavily from the Tiger 1050, which was a much earlier example of street focused ADV/ "upright sport tourer" segment when it came out in 2007.
