Trip to Hamilton

I’m planning on leaving Montreal early June to visit the HMCS Haida war museum that my father spent time on during WW2. Other then the thousand islands park I’m at a lost about any decent routes to try to hit on my way. Any suggestions would be appreciated

cheers

Norm

That Montreal - GTA corridor is devoid of anything interesting. If you can afford the time, scoot up toward Calabogie and head westward through Bancroft, Minden and then down toward Orillia. Then make your way south. Lots of nice roads up through that "south of Algonquin" part of Ontario. I am in the GTA, and that's the general route I take to/from Ottawa area. Sorry, I know... quite a detour.

Thanks for the route. I mapped it out and it adds about 3 hours and 180k's. I agree the route does look nice though so I consider it. Beats slabbing it all the way there and back.......does this look right according to what google plotted for me?

508 to Calabogie/41-28 to Bancroft/ 118-21 to Minden/35-45-44 to Orillia

sorry I couldn't copy the map to the thread
