Popular Post Sunde
Slightly long writeup, sorry. đ   A few days ago, I had the pleasure of taking the lovely tracer to a tiny technical track here in Denmark called Padborg Park. The day consisted of me getting up early, riding for 2 hours to get to the track, then 7 stints of 20 minutes of âracingâ and then back home. I have to say I donât think you could get a better bike for the job. The comfort on the highway was flawless with the stock screen + deflector combined with cruise control and crash protection doubling as handy footpegs to strectch etc. Itâs the first time I have had such a long day of non-stop riding, yet once I was home I wasnât numb or sore, my ears werenât ringing, I felt great. Helps to be 24 I guess, but honestly had I been on my VFR I would not have been able to say the same.  The Tracer itself handled my amature pace very very comfortably. The track was relatively vacant, so I had a bunch of opportunity to test the bike and its electronics quite thoroughly (to my limit at least). I had both the corner ABS and TC enabled. TC would very clearly step in and âhelpâ if I tried to give it fistful of throttle mid corner. What I really liked was the fact that it allowed some degree of spin and slide but very gracefully kept it at that, only allowing the rear to step out every so slightly, which makes you look like a total badass on corner exit. I was a little more hesitant to test corner ABS but I did play around with it, my impression is that the front either has more grip than i was able/willing to test to its limits, or the ABS simply did not allow the front to lockup whilst cornering (I think the latter Is likely) i felt like i was being brutal. I was braking harder and later and with greater lean angel than i would have EVER done without the system. The rear would slightly drift and dance around when hard on the brakes, especially when i was weighting the front hard aswell. But again it was a gentle intervention, I could just feel the system stepping in keeping things in check same as with the TC. Love the bike, the engine is hilarious fun to bang up and down the gears and the suspension handled my weight well even if the front is a bit on the softer side. A bunch of guys on "proper" sportsbikes had to come and take a look at the T9 once they had seen and heard it around the track ;).  Now its been manically cleaned and is with fresh engine oil, cant wait to take it to the NĂźrburgring in a few months!    Edited May 25, 2022 by Sunde 7
Sunde
It was around 17 degrees C which equates to around 62F and still the Tracer managed to make me look cool with both the front and rear tires getting some nice chaffing near the edge. And even when I felt like I was pushing it I still had plenty of tyre left, great feeling. Bike feels very stable and "dialed" when trail braking hard into corners. I promise the tyres looked cooler when i had just finished the day. This is after 3 days of normal riding d: Edited May 25, 2022 by Sunde
DR_DR3I
Sounds like you had a great time. The Ring, however, is a very busy place. And very technically demanding. Keep it rubber-side down, since I've seen way too many vids of guys being heroes only to lose it mid-corner and be seriously injured.

Good advice for sure, it will be my 3rd time going there, and you are 100% correct the risk very real.  It is a blast however and unlike any other place in the world. Rubber-side down is what i am all about
Supporting Member 2NDCHILDHOOD Posted May 26, 2022 Supporting Member Share Posted May 26, 2022 Really liking the matte green. That's the best picture of it I have seen. Wish it had been available here in the States. đ 1
nhchris
Wow, what a great report. Thanks for posting.  Those tires look fantastic! RE the Ring:  I'd worry about the auto  drivers and new bumps at corner entry! 1 1968 Triumph Bonneville 650 1971 Norton Commando Roadster 2002 Harley 1200 Sportster 2003 Honda ST 1300 2016 FJ

Ride365
Good write up, but you can ride bikes on the track there without making them 100% track ready and not street legal? đ˛
