Niken - Diamond in The Rough

The Niken is one of the Best Bikes I have ever owned, now that I have made some changes. I can run with most super bikes in the dry, when it's wet, no contest, the absolute best rain bike you can ride, end of story.

Mirrors- moved to the bars, turn signals lights replaced mirrors.

Brakes- went with EBC rotors

Removed a total of 31lbs from the bike.

Lowered the bike 20mm, front &  rear, with a kit from Holland. Much better handling. Feet can touch the ground

Changed the windscreen.

Did a tail-tidy, removed rear bar.

Lots of Titanium bolts. Front end lighter, turn in faster.

Exhaust & battery change.

The Niken is a diamond that just needs polishing. Yamaha went for form over function, but the base is there, just do it. The sport riders I have ridden with for 20 yrs are amazed at how fast my Niken can be ridden.

Hi Al, Welcome to the forum. Do you have pictures of your mirror delete. I'm considering removing the stock mirrors and looking to put block off plates or Turn/Fog lights there.
