theduke282
With the latest rebates on the Super Tenere expiring, they brought the 2014 down to $11,500, I am back to strongly considering the FJ. My only real concern is how it rides in the wind, and the carry capacity of 395. I am 240 and my wife is 135 so that doesn't really leave any room for gear if we wanted to take a trip. redfjniner
The FJ is a small bike. I would think that you might be cramped with two of you on the bike, even if your wife is small. I would suggest that two of you go sit on one at a dealer. Try to do this alongside a Super Ten. Ken, Candy Ass L.D.R. theduke282
I have sat on them both and the Super Ten feels more comfortable. Right now its a price thing, which may just mean I should hold off and continue saving. I'm still pretty upset with the dealer for not giving me straight up dates that the rebates were changing on, and then not calling me back Saturday afternoon when I left them a message about getting a full price quote. theduke282
For just me at 6' 240lbs I think the FJ would be perfect, though other than power I don't know how big of a step up it is from my 08 Versys.
