Like he others have mentioned Thanks for the info.  Just went to the garage took all of 15 sec.s to do.  I'll fine tune in the morning when I start her up for the ride to work.  Thanks again.

Now where is the reflash info?  I hit 115mph and she noise dived on me today.

Some riders get nervous at those speeds as well. Reflash has major benefits, but little to do with top speed for me. I don't think I've been higher than 4th gear at speeds near that.

I have had my FJ-09 up to 115. Not a good feeling particularly if you are running behind vehicles that are leaving turbulent air trails. My Versys was much more stable at those speeds even in the wake of turbulence. My experience with the FJ-09 front end is that it gets jittery at high speeds (even as soon as 85 mph) unless you lay down in a more sportbike position. Then it improves. It is in my opinion it is the geometry of the bike in addition to poor aerodynamics that causes the handling problem. I am perfectly fine not going above 100 let alone 115 with any bike.

My experience is that the UK spec bike, so no 115mph limit, will cruise all day at an indicated 110mph with Kappa K40N cases loaded with about 10kg each (inc the weight of the case itself).

This is with a Powerbronze screen and Puig spoiler fitted which takes most of the windblast above my body.

I did a stretch of French autoroute from Reims to the Channel Tunnel at an indicated 90-110mph, so a distance of around 170 miles. The only drawback is fuel consumption with the tank range dropping to around 120 miles from 160 (point at which the F trip comes on).

Without the side cases, on private UK roads of course, I occasionally take it up to around 120mph to get past a line of dawdling drivers on the private estate. It's not a pleasant place to be as you are sat in the wrong position for that speed but does not feel unsafe in still air. Like mjs I have taken the bike to the rev limiter in 4th where it indicates around 134mph if my memory is correct. I didn't feel the need to change up and carry on accelerating as it is a horrible place to be and begins to feel a little nervous. I'll leave those sorts of speeds for others on a more aerodynamic bike on a purpose built track.

I'm just happy that where legal the bike will perform very nicely at around 100mph to make good progress where traffic allows. German Autobahns mainly but we even have some public roads in the British Isles where there are no speed limits.
This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is.
