Premium Member n2shotokai Posted June 2, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2016 Went for a 200 mile ride and on way home this happened to me. Anyone have more input? 2015 FJ-09 2,000 miles Temp 170 A mode Decelerating 2nd or 3rd gear. Yeah don't try to bump start, the back wheel just locks up. Restarted immediately with starter and no further issues. This was loads of fun as I was transitioning freeways between semi trucks. Pulled to shoulder and stupidly tried bump start. Thought she was dead but started right back up. Glad I was not in the middle lane of the freeway.
oldfart
Oh great. Every problem I've read about on this Forum I've eventually experienced with my bike. Can't wait for this to happen too, ha. My natural instinct would have been just to bump start it back up, so I'm glad I read these reports in advance so I'll know to use the starter not the back wheel. Hasn't happened yet, but I've had the occasional failure to start problem, the occasional high RPM idle problem so I'm sure this will happen too. Thanks for the advance warning! nicksta43
Had this happen to me this morning. Not very comforting being only two weeks into ownership. This was after riding for over two hours just two minutes from my house. Fired right back up though.
Premium Member n2shotokai Posted October 4, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted October 4, 2016 Happened to me again, merging off the freeway from left to right in heavy traffic. Pulled in the clutch, switched ignition off and then back on, hit starter and continued on. Good fun ..............
