unicycle52
Demo ride today...............The jury is still out. I've been riding an FJR's for the past 10 year (100K miles). I liked the performace of the FJ-09 but it seemed a little harsh vibration wise. The ride wasn't long enough. I couldn't put my finger on the issue. Not sure if it was the "growl" of the crossplane triple motor compared to my very smooth inline 4. It didn't seem buzzy, but it didn't seem smooth either. I'd be interested in comments from other FJR owners.
hotboot
My FJ is much smoother than either the current 05 FJR and past 2002 FZ-1. I rarely notice any vibes and ride the triple at 4-5000 rpm constantly. The I4's had some buzz @ 5K but nothing obnoxious enough to map around. Keep the FJR and the weight ? Upsize to a smooth Goldwing ? Most peeeps get used to a different bike, I did. You probably will too.
chris618
I had an 05 fjr, then to super tenere. Fj09 has a diferent feeling, but to me it is the hot rod triple character. It doesn't bother me any and I think it is better than fjr and worse than tenere for comfort.
