Front fender extender

Recommended Posts

I got mine from Pyramid but I also bought the rear fender extender too. Not sure who else sells fenders for our bikes at the time I made the purchase. I think shipping was reasonable back in '22, total I think I spent including shipping was about 60 bucks.

You could try ebay or aliexpress for options.

I was just looking at Pyramid's site and there are 2 shipping options. I went with Royal mail at the time and I see the other which is definitely ridiculous in ship price. I think it took roughly less than 2 weeks with the first option Royal mail.

Thanks.  I didn't look at the Royal Mail rates; they are more reasonable.  However, I found a guy on Ebay selling the Pyramyd fender extenders for $42, shipping included, from the UK.  I'll probably order one from him.

So far the farkles I'm planning on are the front fender extender, shorty windscreen for summer, engine guard bars, radiator guard and lower footpegs.  I may look into driving lights.   I've already installed the seat leveling kit.  The bike doesn't need much else.

Thanks.  Good to see another rider from Utah.  I checked the MotoMachines website and their extender, even with the cheapest shipping (Priority Mail) is still a couple of bucks more than the Ebay listing.  They seem to be a good resource otherwise.

No one has decent fenders anymore, they haven't since 1978...

I got the original front  FendaExtenda in 16, and Pyramid carbon rear hugger extender too (which also works very well, and even keeps the shock relatively clean)

Both I believe were each under $35 @ the time 😄 and then readily available here.

Made my own for several other steeds with deficient prophylactic apturances...

BTW, Use the rivets provided AND the tape.  For the rear which had no rivets, I drilled and also fastened the extender on.

At speed, let alone in a belly washer, tape is not enough!

So far the tape alone has held up in some torrential rains. It's been on the bike for three years now.  I had planned to use the rivets but just never got around to doing so.

You're on borrowed time DK...

And how many miles are you at in 3 years, and how many real storms?  How many times has it been out in real heat, which kills tape?

You get my point bro?

My own experience of the Pyramid front and rear fenders is pretty poor. Neither does the job as both the engine and shock get plastered with crap. Surely the whole idea is to improve over the OE versions? I’m considering the larger front fender extender for my GT+ but it is butt ugly. Has anyone tried it yet?

You want better coverage yet also a sleek design...

Form and function, how about an Indian Chief with extremely stylish yet very effective valanced fenders?

On my fastest red 15, I'm satisfied enough with my FendaExtendas
