At the new price points for the GT+, I would be taking a hard look at the MT-10 SP

Yeah...backlit controls!  I noted that the first morning riding to work, my '23 Harley and BMW DON'T have those, and I am wondering why that would be!

Is the GT & + AMT tied in with that IMU bcuz on that MT09 it's not.

That's tech missed big time. 

It's like ABS, CC, TC, LC etc not knowing you're in a turn and adjusting accord

That's HUGE tech mises!!!

“Yamaha has announced that the base model Tracer 9 and not the top-spec Tracer 9 GT+ will be coming to the U.S. The specifications will differ slightly from the base model offered in Europe. The U.S.-spec 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 will have the customizeable ride modes, revised frame, seven-inch TFT display and updated switchgear, plus full LED lighting including cornering lights and non-electronic suspension. Unlike European models, the base model Tracer 9 will come with hard cases in the U.S.”

This could be great news for those not wanting all of the ‘Tech-overkill’ of the recently announced 2025 model in Europe.

Wow, Yamaha must have been reading my mind; a more basic model available. Check out the updated website revealing the new Tracer 9 at $12,599. Basically everything found on the '21 and  '22 Tracer 9 GT, but with the new 7 inch TFT dash, joystick switchgear, new headlights, etc. Still has CC, bags, etc.

Looks like we get a choice of grey, and mostly-red up here... in both the base and Y-AMT variants. I'm thinking it's probably a good idea to skip the first Y-AMT model year 😁. That lighting setup looks pretty serious... one less thing to buy I suppose.

Back in (pre-covid) 2019, I bought a 4-year old FJ-09 for $3,300 that has done me just fine for 5 years.

Boy.... it is sure hard to justify $12k+ more for not having to pull a clutch lever in.... something I have been doing for 50 years.

Heated Grips and QS are now optional

"The TRACER 9 is ready to customize to fit your specific needs with a wide range of options including a quickshifter, heated grips, heated seats top box and much more".

I like that red model.  Of all of the creative or attractive color combinations available, the U.S. model is...Raven black.  -YUCK

Has anyone noticed that they replaced cruise control with a speed limiter? - "New Yamaha Variable Speed Limiter (YVSL) gives the rider the ability to set a top-speed limit for the motorcycle to ensure a rider-selected speed is not unintentionally exceeded." - This seems to mean that the rider sets a maximum speed, but the computer will not maintain that speed.

Example: Speed limit is 45. Rider sets speed limiter while traveling at 45. Speed limiter prevents the bike from exceeding 45, however, the rider must manually maintain the desired speed. The limiter allows the bike to slow, coast, drift down to any speed below 45. This is only half of what I use cruise control for.

The speed limiter is "in addition to" cruise control.
