NOT answering the question [em](which I have just re-read, thankfully!)[/em] but as it's bound to be asked - by some pretty accurate digital scales here the [strong]FJ (or MT) -09 Tracer[/strong] hard panniers are each 5.2kg, or 11.5lb. And FWIW, they are pretty nicely and solidly made, every bit as good - and as heavy! - as those on my previous BMWs! But the FJR ones are a bit prettier, IMHO!
