ttownfj09
Yesterday a co worker of mine rode his bike to a jogging trail, forgot and left his wallet in the Givi trunk, he usually puts his wallet under the seat. When he came back the trunk was gone, the mounting plate looked undamaged but no case. He had his car keys and house keys, a debit card and credit card in the case. He found out when he called to report the cards stolen they tried to use them at a transfund at a Walmart, they tried to get cash 3 times with each card, $1500, $1000 and $500 but with no luck. They have his address and the keys to his house and vehicles, so he's going to have the locks changed in his house. I shall be more careful with what I leave locked up on my bike from now on. troll
Locks only keep honest people honest, they do very little to stop those who make a living from stealing other peoples stuff. ttownfj09
That's right, I sometimes get complacent, but this was a good reminder.
tommo
If you have the red keyed locks, they are super easy to break. The newer security locks are much harder to break.
pixlox
That is horrible luck. Such a pain having to change or replace everything. Would insurance even cover the cost of the Givi trunk or not worth the cost to go through insurance?
pixlox
I am having an ignition key cylinder being put into my trunk. Hopefully better than the cheaper original cylinder.
