My cortech super 2.0 saddlebag supports

Recommended Posts

Finished up my supports tonight. The round bars are 3/8 steel. I used a coat hanger to get the initial shape then heated the bar with the torch and bent it to match. Welded the bar to some 1/4 thick spacers. These spacers are from older 86-93 Mazda truck upper seat belt bolts. The bolts that hold the new support to the bike are 8x1.25 60mm long. Couldn't find allen head like the factory bolts but these will work for now and they are under the bags so you can't see them. Here's some pics they are super strong
