It looks lovely but £520 is quite a heady mark up on the $452 price in the USA. At current exchange rates $452 is £288

I emailed the importer, who states the difference in price is due to UK import duty & VAT at 20%

However, as I have put up the link, Mark at Battistini's will give forum members a 5% discount. Email him direct at
sales@corbin-europe.com or ring +44 (0)1202 950293

Obviously, this discount is for UK & EU sales. Other duty rates may apply to non-EU countries and you may have a local importer.

Corbin USA will not ship into an area where they have a local importer.

This is exactly why I no longer have any interest in the Corbin.

Vat at 20% does not even come close to justifying that sort of price hike.

If it wasn't a case of just trying to rip us off they would allow us to order from the US. If they are to be believed this wouldn't work out any cheaper anyway as we'd have to pay vat and shipping ourselves at an even higher rate as we wouldn't get bulk shipping discounts.
