Wanted to say hello. Just traded in my 08 Hypermotard for a red FJ. The guys at Riva were kind of surprised by my swap but I was just over eating wind and 100 mile gas stops. I'll miss you sweet Italian wheelie monster but with age comes wisdom and I'm really looking forward to pouring on some miles.

Welcome, you will dig the 175-200 mile range. High speed runs will not bother you. I heard they thought they found a twisty road in Florida, but they were mistaken. :D

The Hyper-Mo is a pretty dammed cool bike but a Sunday bike for sure.  Certainly not an only bike, bike.  If you have the finances and garage space having them both would be ideal for sure.
The whole <100 mile range thing sucks!  That was the straw that broke the camels back for me with my SV1000.  You would just get out into the canyons and start having fun when the fuel light would come on
( FYI @RandyD - can·yon ˈkanyən/noun: canyon; plural noun: canyons; a deep gorge, typically one with a river flowing through it)
So you're whole "fun riding day" was punctuated by fuel stops or planning a ride around fuel stops which is BS.
Fun bike but my last ride on it, the fuel light came on at 75 miles and it was on CL the next day. Still miss it though....

welcome to site and we look forward to hearing about you wearing out the middle of your tires
