Premium Member jeff400650 Posted August 26, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 26, 2015 My bike has started running poorly. It has gotten rather sputtery and uneven at low rpm operation. The overall power at higher rpm feels muted as well. The idle seems fine, but rolling along at 3000 it is unsteady and jerky. Wasn't doing that a couple hundred miles ago. It is at 660 miles. I did an oil change at 570, but now that it is doing this, I will take it to the dealer for the 600 mile service that should include the throttle body synch. I really hope that is all it needs. I have been loving the bike. Pistons or pedals, 2 wheels are where it's at...
Premium Member cman Posted August 26, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 26, 2015 Make sure to ask for the sync. I've read that some (a lot?) dealers don't do it. I'm not convinced mine did, but I checked it myself and it was good.
Premium Member jeff400650 Posted August 28, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted August 28, 2015 Wow! I had the 600 mile service done, and the bike runs MUCH better now. The throttle bodies must have been out, because it runs much smoother and is freer revving, and faster! As an added bonus, they had a set of the heated grips in stock, so I had them throw those on... pretty darn cool, even though we are in a heat wave now in NorCal. I recommend getting this done, just to see what you might be missing from your motor. Pistons or pedals, 2 wheels are where it's at...
