Lazyshade
Cleaned and lubricated the chain. Also, I pulled off the taller windscreen the previous owner had mounted. I found my Shoei was getting buffeted back and forth at freeway speeds and felt like my head was in a paint mixer. Currently I am riding without the windscreen to see what I like and don't like. Considering a Higdonion aluminum windshield. Anybody out there ride with a really short windscreen or alternate depending on the type of riding you are doing?

Puig touring with spoiler at the top for winter, a Givi 2122S mid-height one and then an ebay tiny thing that just covers the instruments for summer. Also have, but don’t use, the OEM screen and the Yamaha touring one. And....I’m wondering about the powerbronze powerblade so I think I need therapy. Zach26
Just got done installing a cheap radiator guard. I had been planning on it but procrastinated until a bird hit just a couple inches above the radiator.

Supporting Member betoney Posted May 8, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted May 8, 2020 I went out on another 370 mile ride to Tillamook Oregon. This is the Oregon section. Fantastic twisty roads. duhs10
Took my FJ out today... stopped at Two Wheels of Suches and Vogel State park while riding around in Northern Georgia. Got my dad to tag along with his Vulcan Nomad. Beautiful weather today.... also saw a Tracer 900 in passing at the intersection of 180 and 19... 3 2 '15 FJ-09 w/ lots of extras... mingo
Conspicuity lights, cameras, action! I installed Givi handguard extenders, rad guard, fender extender, LED running lights / turn signals along with Whelen super LED's which are also turn signals, recycled from my SuperTenere, as well as the Rigid 6" LED light bar. I installed dashcam cameras front and back. The front one is mounted to the side of the LED light bar, and the rear is mounted below the top case rack. The stock windshield wasn't much good until I added the MRA spoiler recycled from a previous bike and it worked brilliantly for me, so need for a new screen. For me this bike turned out to be the goldilocks bike: not too heavy, exhilarating motor, nimble handling, comfortable and feature packed, and Yamaha reliable.
