FigJam-OhNine
Haha yeah, I put mine in and just rode around my parkade for a minute with bare hands. Yowzers! They are toasty.
xcsp
I never really thought much of heated grips on my cycles, even after having them on snowmobiles for years, but now with having them on my FJR, I'd definitely have them on the FJ! Kind of like once having cruise control, hoping Yamaha sees the light-soon!!
papadage
How easy was the install? I have mine sitting in a box downstairs. They arrived from the dealer the other day.
papadage
Thanks. I just looked at the instructions. I need to pick up some grip glue and a 12mm hex key.

michaelb
Grips are paid for but on back order..just about everything is on back order. Yamaha should have planned it better. Launch a bike in feb and we want our grips in feb ffs!
Premium Member wessie Posted March 28, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 28, 2015 at least my dealer didn't have the nerve to ask for payment, knowing they will not be available until July at the earliest This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. Yamaha should have planned it better. Launch a bike in feb and we want our grips in feb ffs!Same here. Paid the dealer for heated grips, panniers and fitting, several hundred £s. They informed me the day before delivery. Yamaha, don't sell items you do not have! How would they respond if I gave them a cheque but did not have the cash in my bank account? fjrlancer
I could be mistaken but I believe some dock worker strikes and container ships being delayed have held up some parts from japan. my company in Ct and also in canada have had major issues with the supply chain due to this. Hair spray works great for grips. I've never actually purchased or used grip glue. Grips are paid for but on back order..just about everything is on back order. Yamaha should have planned it better.
