pseudofed
Got my red 2015 two days ago! I'll do a separate price paid thread with pics…. Inside each hard back is a long sticker and pair of small stickers in a ziplock baggie. I presume they protect certain spots, but did not see any instruction on where they go. Can anyone describe or show a pic of where they go? Thanks.
Premium Member topher73 Posted October 29, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted October 29, 2015 Good question, believe they are clear used to protect the paint in places where the back may rub Check this thread out! http://fj-09.org/thread/212/luggage-install-clear-decals
GoldenPenguin
Dude! I've been wondering this for a couple months now but keep forgetting to post about it. Even that link doesn't really explain it. I tried looking all over the bags to see where those stickers would even fit. They're sitting on my bench right now. Premium Member topher73 Posted October 29, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted October 29, 2015 i just got off the phone with Yamaha and they told me no particular installation for this item. Cut it and use it as needed where it looks like the paint may get rubbed.
pseudofed
Interesting. They have a specific shape and so don't look like they're just "cut and use". And I'm not sure what we mean by paint. I don't see any painted surfaces on the bags….
GoldenPenguin
It sounds like its a carry over from another product (like the fjr bags) and they wanted to save money and not have something new made up. either way, I dont see any place where paint would rub on anything...
