Very Odd Cold Start Problem

My 660 tenere and my old FZ6 have done this previously, although very rare, Fz only after sitting while my license caught up, and the Tenere has done it three times in 92,000k's, every time it started with full throttle eventually, it was like the fuel rail was full of stale fuel and took some time for the crap to go through the injectors..
So far my tracer has been perfect.

Bike stayed in an open parking garage overnight in mid-30s weather. I started it up in the morning. The bike started to catch. Normally I would let go of the starter at this point, but I didn't. It then bogged down for just a moment then really caught and ran just fine.

I'm guessing that if I had let go of the starter when it sounded like it started to catch that I would have had the problem again. **BUT** no problem thanks to the advice in this thread.
