I lead a ride the Saturday closest to New Years out of Vegas to Death Valley. We ride out of Vegas and usually hit Shoshone California for breakfast and BS session. Work over to Bad Water and into Furnace Creek for a break and BS session. In the past we have had guys break from the group after breakfast and ride Furnace Creek Wash Road (Dirt) and meet us again in Furnace Creek. Some just come for breakfast and turn and burn. Others follow to Furnace Creek and burn back. I like to continue on to Beatty Nevada and hit the Nut and Candy Factory there. Usually catch a meal at Beatty then run below the radar back to Vegas. Its usually a 400 mile day for me. I post this every year on the Vstrom board and my2wheels.com so extending an invitation here. My Bro-Inlaw will be flying in from Maryland so he will be stuck riding one of my Vstroms instead of his FJ-09. I'm sure he would love to meet some of you Inmates. Also have Utah and possibly Flagstaff friends coming in for this ride. If interested in riding in trailering in or already in the area come on out. We meet at the Terrible Herbst Gas Station at the intersection of Highways 159/160 (Charleston and Blue Diamond) at 7:15 and stands up at 7:30.
