I'm still sticking with kero and a rag, it's worked very well for me on previous machines.It's my preferred method, well using an old paint brush and no longer non-stick saucepan. Annoyingly, fewer places stock paraffin so reaching for something already on the shelf is the easiest option now I'm in suburbia rather than a small market town with farmer's shops.
