Most if not all the riders who ride the FJ-09 2 up on the regular have aftermarket springs, shocks, or other custom setups. The stock Fj-09 is not a suitable sports touring motorcycle with a pillion. The FJR and others are much better suited if traveling with a passenger. Load the FJ-09 with all the gear you need and ride to Alaska solo, just like I did without issue.
