Premium Member fanowater Posted February 13, 2016 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 13, 2016 The FJ Alu-rack is made with tubes like the Hepco&Becker piece, so the only likely failure would be a weld breaking. 2015 FJ-09 2006 Triumph Daytona

rodan
Kinda glad I modified the one off my 'Busa... doesn't have anywhere near the lever arm of the actual FJ version.
buddha1
I have this rack fitted, it seems really good quality and was really easy to fit. I like the way you have to remove the rear passenger handles in order to fit it but the rack itself has parts that replace these handles. I looked at the Oem rack and it is also made by SW Motech so the size and shape is the same as their own one. The only difference I can see is the shape of the holes in the rack plate. I think you are limited to Yamaha adaptor plates if you buy theirs but with the SW Motech one you can use any of their adaptors so you can use different boxes. I would recommend this, especially as I bought mine off eBay and it was cheaper than Yamaha's.
dtownmtb
Just installed my FJ Alu-rack. It was backordered for quite a while. Seems very solid. I had one on my SV650S for many years and never had a problem. It was light years ahead of the Givi rack (which ended up breaking) in quality and ease of installation. I'm a big fan of the Alu-rack.
