docsimple
Socks! If you are a real ADV traveler you may want to take this final step in completely waterproofing everything you wear https://www.showerspass.com/product-category/socks I'm tempted to get one pair but $35 socks is kind of crazy, but it hasn't stopped raining here in weeks so maybe not so crazy. 2015 Red FJ 09 2013 WR250R - little boy blue - sold 2012 DL650 V Strom - sold 2007 FZ6 - sold 1986 FJ600 - sold
Premium Member fanowater Posted January 19, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted January 19, 2016 Socks! If you are a real ADV traveler you may want to take this final step in completely waterproofing everything you wear These look like a great find! My boots will stay dry for 2-3 hours in a steady rain. Once I had to ride for 9 hours in the rain to get back home, so these look like a better solution than cold, wet feet. They are out of my size, but I will let you know what I think when I get a pair.Cheers! 2015 FJ-09 2006 Triumph Daytona
docsimple
sweet, a test subject! Looking forward to your feedback. As I just got off my short but very wet commute I am thinking they might be a nice addition to my search for dry. 2015 Red FJ 09 2013 WR250R - little boy blue - sold 2012 DL650 V Strom - sold 2007 FZ6 - sold 1986 FJ600 - sold

Premium Member fanowater Posted January 31, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted January 31, 2016 So I did order a pair of these socks. The crew socks not the wool socks (out of stock). They are different to say the least! They feel like pulling on a woven scuba booty. They bunch up a little on the front of the ankle and are a little snug in the width (but I have a very wide foot). I have used them twice, but not in the rain. They seem pretty warm, about as warm as my heavy wool socks, and appear to wick moisture well, but not sure how much my feet would be sweating when it is between 46 and 55F. I did test them nearly the same way as the video - and they are waterproof. These will be in my touring kit for certain, but I will use my heavy duty wool socks for warmth and comfort on dry days.
