P-) doesnt exist in TKC 70's but what i think is right is over $200. I will shop more for a less expensive DS tire...

hmmm, I couldnt find them in the right size this side of the pond. Might be a special order. Not sure its worth $200 either. Been thinking about the Anakee 3 but felt that was kinda spendy at $175. As for the Heidanau...

I read a great review that went something like this:

DS Tire x - great all around tire. Not so great in sand
Heidanau - its a car tire
DS Tire y - best on packed earth and gravel
Heidanau - its a car tire
ect, ect.

And it looks like one too   :P

can someone please explain to me why 17" tires cost more than 18, 19 and 21? Where is the logic in that? Both those you showed, wessie, looked nice but hovering at the $200 mark. I ran Full Bore M40's on my V Strom and they rocked for like $120 a pair.

higher speed & load rating - look at the Pirelli & Avons - 17" tyres are ZR rated so they can be fitted to KTMs with 160bhp.

the carcass of these tyres will have more layers than the H rated tyres fitted to bikes like 650cc KLRs and Vstroms.

those extra layers will be steel or carbon fibre not rayon like you get in the cheaper tyres.

holy crap those are some good reasons :)

I found the Avon Trail rider for $150. That seems reasonable so it will be my next tire :)
Might go TKC 80 up front...
