I've tried on more gloves than I care to describe - guess I've got strange sized hands. The best and most comfortable that I own are a pair of custom made Thurlow gloves - which I bought with one of their jackets while they were in business. Held's are too long in the fingers for me - I tried all their sizes at a dealer's booth at a BMW National Rally. Went back and forth several times w/ Aerostitch and found their Ropers were sized like Held. Recently I've been wearing some elk skin work gloves - not going to provide much protection should I need it, but I'm still looking. The first pair of Lee Parks gloves were too small. Another pair should be on the way as we speak. The search goes on....

See my post on these Red Wing gloves... absolutely the very best I've had for an all around riding glove in 40 years, all for $39.95. Good for riding 55-80°F rain or shine. Just try them before you knock em.

My summer gloves are the SMX 2 V-2's from Alpinestars. Very comfortable gloves that flow air extremely well even from behind the stock handguards.
