berryber
Cut an old pair of bicycle handlebars and welded washers on one end. I used the original bolt. Strong enough for me to stand on. Each will hold my 185 pounds. I haven't cut them to length or painted them yet. The rubber grips I'm going to use are 4.75 inches. I could easily make them shorter. Any thoughts on the length. The turn signals stick out quite a bit more so they shouldn't get in the way of anything. I've included a pic of the grip propped in place. timg
Look good. Put em on a pivot with detents, and you could sell them.
adjuster
Nice, and they make great side/drop protection. I'm going to have to look at adding something to my T-Rex setup. It should not be too difficult, but I'd like to have them fold up, and be lower than that by a few inches. The engine vibes are pretty intense bolted up right like that too. Does the rubber grip help dampen the vibes? Or your feet will be massaged while you ride I suppose.. Nice job either way.
berryber
It will be a few days before I get to ride at highway speeds. My commute doesn't allow much speed
BBB
you might want to put a jack under the engine as its a mounting bolt, but the other three should hold it. It's an 8 mm allen bolt IIRC Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)
berryber
I never had them both out at the same time and didn't have any problem taking one out and putting it back in. Didn't need a jack or anything.

berryber
There is a buzz in the pegs that goes right with the buzz in the grips around 56 to 59 mph. Its minor and even if I stretch my leg and put my calfs on the pegs it doesn't bother me.
