Premium Member martyl Posted September 5, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted September 5, 2016 Went through heavy down pours today and these tires are awesome! Feel very positive. No slip. No slide. Braking confident. Leaning in turns felt just as sure as dry conditions. Very planted. These tires are great! Good choice over stock Dunlops. Got about 2500 miles on them so far. pvtdonut
I don't have a FJ-09 (yet) but I have Pilot 4's on my FZ6 and they have been great. Always feel stable and planted. I have close to 15,000 miles on them right now and shouldn't have any problems finishing out this riding season before they need replaced.
advman
Done 5,000 miles on mine and no sign of squaring off, 5,000 mile on the OE Dunlops and they were finished
Premium Member martyl Posted September 7, 2016 Author Premium Member Share Posted September 7, 2016 Yeah, I'm sold on the RP 4's. The only thing I noticed is when new they were noisier than the stock Dunlops. But after about 600 miles that quieted down. A Motorcyclist's Church is the open road.... boris696
Used these on my previous FZ1 and always got near 10k out of them. A great tire and will replace my stockers as soon as I get back from my trip with a new pair of PR4's.
Premium Member estell Posted September 8, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted September 8, 2016 I got wheelie hops on a wet road today with a PR4 on the back. Good braking too. That gives me more confidence when riding in the wet. I am still cautious with the painted lines in the crosswalk. 2015 red FJ-09: Cal Sci screen, Sargent seat, ECU flash, slider combo, cruise, Rizoma bars, Matts forks, JRi shock, slipper clutch
