Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted January 2, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted January 2, 2020 I got out last on X-Mas, then the snow hit... Oh well, we were on borrowed time. Time to start delayed winter maintenance and projects (like a third bend of handlebars, Renthal Street Nakeds; went back to OEM after running Outlaw Racing TH-08 Low until my sciatica went crazy)... All good when you're on the move of course! 😊
Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted January 8, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted January 8, 2020 Boo hoo, poor boys, 98 degrees, tough to take. I'd kill for weather like that. And I bet it's with low humidity (on the other hand not good for fires I presume, a HUGE negative). Here when it's that hot we'll have 98% humidity but today the high will a balmy 29°F (that's -3.3 to you F challenged). Cheers!
Premium Member 1moreroad Posted January 8, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted January 8, 2020 Not the greatest pic, but the bike with a mural of the other King in Mississippi today. His museum is just down the street from here. Last summer at t the museum, I saw 2 bikes with Mexican plates.

Yes, I guess one man's meat (heat?!) is another man's poison.😏 And you're right, at least we can get out all year round. I do admit that I feel for forum members in here who have to winterise their bikes for part of the year because it's simply waaaay too cold! FWIW - not really complaining, just don't 'tolerate' the heat like I did when I was just a whippersnapper.! P.S. We actually used the fahrenheit system up to sometime in the 70's when we changed over to the metric system here in Oz. And isn't 29F closer to -1.7C ? 😉

Supporting Member texscottyd Posted February 16, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted February 16, 2020 I logged a couple hundred miles today, and ‘found’ the ocean along the way. Well, technically the Gulf of Mexico, but it’s a saltwater beach, so close enough... 5

Premium Member fddriver2 Posted February 29, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted February 29, 2020 @Dkjnk Where about in the keys? I end up at Alabama Jack's for lunch a couple times a month "It doesn't matter who walks in, you know the joke is still the same" Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dkjnk
That picture was from Marathon Key. I live in northern Indiana, where cycle riding in January is a meteorological fluke. So my brother and I , both in our 60’s, decided to do something like retired people. We loaded the bikes on a trailer and drove to Homestead. From there we took day rides to Key West and Everglades. Nice to get the bike out of the garage. 4
