brokenhat
My first real ride (about 300kms). Love the bike with 2 negatives that I didn't notice on shorter runs. One the seat blows the end. Second the screen blows over about 90kms/h the end. Did I mention that I love this bike?

Supporting Member texscottyd Posted October 9, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted October 9, 2017 The Doobie Brothers lied to me! They got the ‘sleepy little town’ part right, but man, this is nowhere near San Antonio!

Supporting Member betoney Posted October 14, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted October 14, 2017 McKenzie Pass, Oregon I take it that's not recent. :-)No, it was taken before it closed due to wildfires. I wish I could have ridden it during the fall weather. Its a shame that its open such a short duration each year. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

Supporting Member texscottyd Posted October 28, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted October 28, 2017 And I'm glad I waited until now to upgrade the forks and shocks... Oh? Do tell... Suspension is unquestionably the best investment I’ve made in the FJ.
Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted October 28, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted October 28, 2017 And I'm glad I waited until now to upgrade the forks and shocks... But in the 12 months I've owned and gotten to know the FJ09 (and since my surgery) I've felt the saddle, wind screen, ECU and lighting had priority while in the meantime I evaluated suspension options, which have changed in that time. But if I'd gone with revised suspension a year ago the calibration would now be too light. Oh? Do tell... Suspension is unquestionably the best investment I’ve made in the FJ. I lived in St. Louis as a teenager and fell in love with Ted Drewes frozen custard there. I've been to TD's a few times, good stuff! Leduc's is in Wales in SE WI, where I do 90% of my day rides living in dreaded Cook County in NE IL. I have almost every frozen custard place in the region on my my GPS (Waze actually) but I'm not proud of it...
