Following a Ford Model T on the way out of town on a short ride with my wife (definitely Ford guessing at the Model T part). Top speed on it was 35 mph, but it couldn't go that fast on the uphills.

Got out today for a few hours, and covered about 250 miles by the time I found my way home.   About 10 miles of that was on unpaved hard-packed gravel, and the FJ behaved just fine.

My 15 fastest red is moded, except for the Scorpion, incredibly similar to yours.  I considered the red R1 carrier rotors but stayed with the black.  My driving lights are mounted instead on the front of the Givi case guards.  What model Shad panniers are yours?  Mine are 3P mount SH36 + I went with their SH46 top case and rear rack (yours?).  Custom Sargent versus yours?  SW-Mototech skid plate though.  Kept the pumpkin front turn signals but installed another front set in the rear, adding a 3rd wire for the running light, with super bright LED 2-way "bulbs" and a low-draw relay.  Also have the Engage tank bag, a well as the City.  I did also splurge for the McCruise.  I have 4 different screens depending on the weather and my mood.

I'm sure we both have done a lot of similar improvements you can't see, kike fork internals, flash, etc..  Can't tell if you also went with a Razor R.

Some day I'll make it back up and across Canukland.  Gorgeous county but the low speed limits in KPH used to drive me nutz.

I especially liked Ottawa.  GTA seemed like Milwaukee but with funny, expensive beer and cigarettes.

Not a great photo, but there’s a story here:  This one corner on a favorite little backroad has been under some form of construction for what seriously seems like 20+ years.   But every time I come through here, the gravel and missing pavement is in a different location.

I thought it must be my imagination, but I’ve recently had several friends mention exactly the same thing to me.   It remains a mystery…
