Recommended Posts

Has anybody removed these retainer washers without destroying them?  Any tips?

I used a small flat head screwdriver to pry them off being careful not to bend them too bad...

To replace them, I used a small socket (like 7mm or 8mm socket) to press them back on the plastic stem evenly.

Use a utility knife to work them up around the perimeter (thin flat blade screwdriver will help too). You can reuse them. I used a 4mm or 5mm (size that fits snug onto the studs) socket to press them back on.
Ditto. :) After crash, I was able to reuse a number of these, lock washers.  I also bought three bags of six to make sure I had enough and now have a few left over.
